New words, new friends and their very first colours, shapes and numbers.
In Nursery, your child’s world gets bigger every day. They start speaking up, making friends and recognising colours, shapes and numbers, all through games, songs and stories.

Six ways Nursery grows
Talking and listening
Stories, rhymes and show-and-tell help your child speak up with confidence.
Colours and shapes
Sorting, matching and drawing turn colours and shapes into everyday words.
Early numbers
Counting songs, beads and games make numbers 1 to 20 feel easy.
Music and dance
Daily songs and movement build memory, rhythm and joy.
Friends and feelings
Sharing, taking turns and saying how they feel.
Busy hands
Colouring, threading and clay work get little hands ready to write.
